Temporary

I think the scariest thing about life is not knowing when someone is only here for temporary purposes.

We don’t know it yet but, they are only here momentarily. The feeling this temporary person give us feels terrific. And we think this is forever because we believe this mutual happiness with this person.

Then the day comes when they do you wrong, y’all have a falling out or outgrow each other.

They brought all this happiness, memories, and all these saved photos on our camera roll and Instagram. Then Facebook reminds us in three years how happy we were on the beach with “so and so.”

“Okay, listen Facebook I didn’t ask you to help me relive those memories!”

Isn’t life just rude?

Why you bring these people in our lives to only fulfill temporary roles?

We never know what is anyone’s purpose in your life. Whether it’s for the good or the bad. Often we never know before it’s too late.

I know the feeling all too well, and I hate it!

We get the feeling of regret and wasteful time because we could have given these feelings to someone else. But no, life wants to provide us with lessons for us to learn.

Honestly, what I have learned is that as long as I gave that person the most genuine version of me and they didn’t appreciate it then it’s not a loss for me. I have realized that every person doesn’t deserve the best version of me.

Often there are signs we ignore that show that they have no intention of staying. We hope for the best and rely on them to realize how great this happiness, memories and ‘usies’ feel.

We have to do our part and take what life gives us. Life happens, and temporary people come and go. We can never force someone to be somewhere; they no longer want to be. Whether they appreciated us or not, we can say we displayed the best version of us.

Often some people are only satisfied with temporary and run when things feel too permanent. They can never say we did them wrong.

Honestly, appreciate the happiness but, never think that feeling is not attainable permanently. All we can do is learn from it, and one day someone has more to offer than something temporary.

SMILE!
